Lauralee is a true wizard with my curly hair!!! I'd trust no one else with it. She's been cutting and coloring it for over a decade. My purple curls get compliments from everyone... from little kids to little old ladies. Lauralee knows exactly how to cut it to make the curls defined and lay right whether I'm wearing it down or up. She has curly hair and knows exactly how to make mine awesome. AND she's an amazing human being too.

I've been a customer of Laura Lee's for 20 years now. I'm a long haired man, and she knows how to cut it just the way I like it. And now my wife and mother in law go to her for haircut's and coloring. Laura Lee and her staff can do most styles and coloring. I'd highly recommend you give her business a try. But you'll need to call in for an appointment, as she's busy most days. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Lauralee is amazing. She explains why a certain cut/style or color would or wouldn't work for your type of hair and face shape. She makes great suggestions. Her salon is wonderfully set-up. I love my new cut, color and hi-lites! I highly recommend her. Thank you, Lauralee!

Lauralee Valkier – Owner and Stylist

Lauralee has been a hair stylist for 25+ years as an owner of an Aveda Concept salon, worked at The Edge Salon and others before opening Hairtology in 2019.

Lauralee works with a wide range of hair types, including textured hair, curly hair and nearly every hair type and style imaginable. She loves to see a client’s vision from inception to completion and there is no style too big or small for her talents.

She has traveled to a great number of educational forums to continue her quest to stay on the cutting edge of current trends, styles and tricks. Her training includes Aveda Concepts, Ellumen, Pureology & Goldwell color and products.

Her goal is for each client to leave knowing they look amazing!

Madelyn isn’t your average hair stylist. With extensive and continued color education she will take your hair from drab to fab! Dedicated to providing the best possible services and experiences to her clients, she pursues additional education year-round to stay current and on-trend with techniques. Her ability to think creatively combined with her efforts in extensive education allow Madelyn to excel in complex color services.

As a certified Olaplex professional, Madelyn takes extra measures to ensure the integrity of her clients hair throughout chemical services. Not only is it important to her that clients look great, but also that their hair feels great!

Whether it’s a major color transformation or adding some spice to a current look, Madelyn strives to provide personalized services to each of her clients—leaving them with a new level of confidence.

Stephen Richardson – Stylist

Stephen has over 20 year’s experience in the industry, with 10+ years spend right here in Grand Rapids, MI.

He has owned an Aveda Concept Salon and trained at the Aveda Academy with Oscar Bond, a member of the International Artist and Show Team for Vidal Sassoon. He is a certified Brazilian Blowout stylist.

His inspiration stems from an ability to completely change the way a client feels about themself through the transformation they see in the mirror.

He enjoys making clients look better than they ever thought they could, and instilling confidence in their inner beauty.
